Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is an American writer of cookery cookbooks as well as Emmy Award-winning host of Food Network's oldest program Barefoot Contessa that began airing in 2002 and will run for 27 seasons until 2020. Ina Garten began her career in the White House where she wrote nuclear energy policies and budget reports. Although she initially found it intellectually stimulating she eventually lost interest. She then bought the Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food retailer. After 18 years of making her shop a massive success she sold it, and then began writing her first book. A number of other books and newspaper articles were published. In the meantime the Food Network show was also a success. In addition, she offers products that range from food items to storage containers and tools. Ina has never been to any cookery school or worked in a restaurant and she is completely self-taught. She's known for her easygoing style of cooking and entertaining. Some of her most popular recipes include Skillet-Roasted Lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
