Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, an American-Canadian singer and songwriter. More than 20 albums have been released by her. DiFranco's music has been classified as folk and alternative rock but includes influence from hip beat and jazz. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is considered to be the father of the DIY movement, and was among the first artists to create her own label 1990. DiFranco was a born on 23rd September, 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Dante Americo DiFranco. Both her parents were both of Montreal origin. Ani Difrasco wrote and recorded the hit song "32 Flavors". It is a track from her album Not a Pretty Girl, which was DiFranco's sixth studio album. The song is featured on the film's soundtrack the Canadian romantic drama Better Than Chocolate from 1999.
