Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford as she is more commonly known as, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who led the women-only hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The group failed to gain a lot of attention in The United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. Ford enjoyed a lengthy and prosperous career as a solo heavy metal artist after the group split from 1979. She started taking voice lessons followed by her first album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin" on the Edge. Ford vanished for some time from the scene after the two albums didn't draw the attention they deserved. In 1988, Ford returned to the scene by releasing a dazzling album titled "Lita. Both the track "Kiss Me Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" became huge hit songs. Sadly, her fame was brief and she disappeared from the industry for several decades. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland just 15 years later, she reemerged. The album she released was Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
