Lita Rossana Ford is a British-born American guitarist, vocalist and songwriter. In the late 70s she was a lead guitarist for the hard-rocking All-girl group The Runaways. Although the band was not success within the United States, it gained enormous popularity overseas. Ford began a solo heavy metal career after the disbandment from her band in 1979. She took voice lessons and then released her debut solo album 'Out for Blood followed by 'Dancin' on the Edge. Ford's albums were not very popular and she went on hiatus for a few years. The smash hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in the year 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her most popular songs. Unfortunately her popularity was only brief, and she went under the radar for several years. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she returned. Her latest album was released Time Capsule in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
