Lita Rossana Ford (also commonly referred to by the name Lita Ford) is an British born American guitar vocalist who played as the lead vocalist for The Runaways a female hard rock group in the 1970s. The group was admired by their raunchy lyrics and punk-inspired fashion. The group wasn't success on the scene in The United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. Ford's solo career in heavy metal was successful after the 1979 split of the band. After taking voice lessons, Ford released her first self-titled album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin on the Edge". Ford's albums were not very successful and she disappeared for a couple of years. The hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were her greatest hit songs. The popularity of her was temporary, and she was gone for a few years. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she returned. The year was 2016, and her latest album, 'Time Capsule, was made available. She was awarded The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.

ALMA Awards as well as Choice Scene Stealer in the 2012 Teen Choice Awards and earned the distinction of Outstanding Female Rising Star n a Drama Series or Special at the 2011 Gracie Allen Awards, all of which were for her role on The Secret Life of the American Teenager.
