Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford is a British-born American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who served as the lead guitarist of the all-girl rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics helped them get noticed within the world of rock. The band was never able to the band to be popular in America, however they did gain a fair amount of attention in other countries particularly Japan. Ford's solo metal career proved successful following the band breakup. After taking lessons in singing, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin"On The Edge'. Ford was absent from the scene for a few years following the albums did not be a huge success. She returned with a bang with her hit album , 'Lita' which came out in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was a big hit, as were the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. Her success was unfortunately not long-lasting and, for a few more years, she disappeared. Her return came when she released 'Black' in 1995, and then 'Wicked Wonderland' almost 15 years later. The most recent album 'Time Capsule was launched in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
