Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford, is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who served as the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics made them popular within the world of rock. The band was not able to achieve major success in their home country of the United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. Ford began a solo heavy metal career after the disbandment from her band in 1979. After taking voice classes, Ford launched her first single album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin on the Edge". Ford vanished for some time from the scene after the two albums didn't draw any attention. The smash-hit album "Lita" was made available by Ford in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her success was short-lived and she remained absent from the industry for many decades. Then she returned when she released 'Black' in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland about 15 years later. in 2016, the latest album, 'Timecapsule', was released. Guitar Player Magazine presented her with the Certified Guitar Legend award.
