Lita Rossana Ford She was born in the United Kingdom and was an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter. The latter half of the 1970s she played as the lead guitarist for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. It wasn't possible for The Runaways to become popular in America, however, they enjoyed a great deal of popularity in other countries particularly Japan. Ford's solo metal career had a great success following the group break-up. Following vocal training, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. Ford was unable to achieve anything with either of them and disappeared from the world of rock for a decade. The smash hit album "Lita" was launched by Ford in 1988. Kiss Me Deadly was a major hit, along with the ballads Close My Eyes Forever and Kiss Me Deadly. However, her fame was brief, and she went under the radar for a couple of years. Her release of Black in 1995 followed by a 15-year wait for 'Wicked Wonderland. The album she released most recently "Time Capsule," released in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
