Lita Rossana Ford often referred to as Lita Ford is a British American guitarist vocalist and songwriter who was the lead guitarist in the all-girl hard rock group The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their punkish sound and rebellious lyrics helped them get noticed in the rock world. Although the band did not have much success in the United States, they were hugely popular overseas. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford's solo heavy metal career was successful after the 1979 band breakup. She took vocal lessons and recorded her first solo album , 'Out For Blood' then 'Dancin' on the Edge. The two albums didn't get much attention and Ford disappeared from the rock world for several years. In 1988, she released her hit album "Lita". Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were two of her greatest hits. But her fame was only short-lived and she disappeared in the world of music for many years. Then she returned with the release of 'Black in 1995. Then she released 'Wicked wonderland' about 15 years later. The year 2016 brought the release of her latest album of studio work "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
