Lita Rossana Ford popularly known as Lita Ford, is a British American singer-songwriter, guitarist and vocalist who played lead guitar in the all-girl hard rock band The Runaways in the late 1970s.Their rock-star sound and raucous lyrics allowed them to be noticed within the world of rock. It was not possible for the group to be an instant hit in the United States, but they gained a lot of acclaim in other nations and in particular Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career following the split of her band in 1979. After taking lessons in singing, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'.
