Lita Rossana Ford also known as Lita Ford as she is most commonly referred to as was an American born British singer and guitarist who led the women-only hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The band was not able to make a significant impact on the scene in their home country of the United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career following the band's broke up in 1979. After taking voice classes, Ford launched her debut solo album "Out for Blood" which was followed by "Dancin in the Edge". Ford was unable to achieve anything with either of them and was largely absent from the world of rock for around an entire decade. In 1988, she returned to the music scene with a smashing album called "Lita. Kiss Me Deadly (single) and Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were two of her biggest hit songs. Her success was unfortunately brief and after a couple of more years, she disappeared. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, as well as 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she returned. The album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
