Lita Rossana Ford (also commonly referred to by the name Lita Ford) is an British born American singer on guitar who took the role of lead singer of The Runaways a female hard rock group from the 1970s. They gained attention for their provocative songs and punk-rock fashion. The group failed to gain a lot of attention on the scene in the United States but earned huge recognition abroad, particularly in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career following the band's ended in 1979. Her debut album as a solo artist was called 'Dancin' on the Edge, followed by her album Out for Blood.
