Lita Rossana Ford or Lita Ford, as she's most commonly referred to as was an American born British musician and vocalist who led the female-only hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The band was never able to The Runaways to become an instant hit in the United States, but they gained a lot of acclaim in other nations and in particular Japan. Ford embarked on a heavy-metal solo career when the group broke up in 1979. After receiving voice lessons, Ford released her debut solo album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin at the Edge". Both the albums did not receive much success and Ford just vanished from the world of rock for several years. In 1988, Ford returned to the world of music with an amazing album titled "Lita. the single 'Kiss me Deadly' and the ballad 'Close My Eyes Forever were both major hit songs. But her fame was only short-lived and she vanished from the industry for several years. She re-emerged after the release of 'Black in 1995 and 'Wicked Wonderland about 15 years later. 2016 saw the release of her most recent album of studio work "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
