Lita Rossana Ford Also called Lita Ford is an American guitar player and singer born in Britain. She was a lead guitarist for The Runaways, a hard-rock group comprised of females in the late 1970s. Their punkish music and rebellious lyrics got them recognized by the rock world. Though the group didn't have much success in the United States however they became extremely popular internationally. It was particularly true in Japan. Ford began a solo heavy metal career after the breakup of her group in 1979. After taking vocal lessons she debuted her own solo album, 'Out For Blood'. The smash hit album "Lita" was released by Ford in the year 1988. Both the song "Kiss My Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" became huge hit songs.
