Lita Rossana Ford or Lita Ford, as she's more commonly known as, was an American-born British musician and vocalist who was the leader of the only female hard-rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The group did not have any fans in The United States. However, their popularity grew overseas and especially in Japan. Following the split of the group in 1979, Ford began a successful solo career with heavy metal. After receiving voice classes, Ford launched her first single album "Out for Blood" followed by "Dancin at the Edge". The two albums didn't have much success, and Ford was largely absent from the rock world for several years. In 1988, she came back to the world of music with an amazing album titled 'Lita. The lead song "Kiss me Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" became huge hit songs. However, the popularity of her career was not long-lasting and for several years, she was absent. After releasing 'Black, in 1995, and 'Wicked Wonderland 15 years afterwards she returned. The year was 2016, and her most recent album, 'Time Capsule, was made available. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the prestigious Certified Guitar Legend Award.
