Lita Rossana Ford She was a British-born American singer, guitarist as well as writer. In the late 70s she was the lead guitar for the hard-rocking all-girl group The Runaways. The group was not able to achieve major success on the scene in their home country of the United States but earned huge popularity overseas especially in Japan. Ford started her own heavy-metal career after the breakup of her band in 1979. She took vocal lessons and released her first solo album , 'Out For Blood' and 'Dancin' On the Edge. Both albums failed to have much success, and Ford disappeared from the world of rock for a couple of years. The year was 1988, when she released her hit album "Lita".
