Lita Rossana Ford (or Lita Ford, as she's more commonly known as was an American born British guitarist and singer who led the female-only hard rock group The Runaways during the late 1970s. The group failed to gain a lot of attention in The United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. Ford began a heavy metal solo career when the group broke up in 1979. After taking vocal lessons, Ford released her debut solo album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin at the Edge". Ford went missing for several time from the scene after the two albums didn't receive the attention they deserved. It was 1988 when she released her hit album "Lita". The song "Kiss me Deadly" as well as the ballad "Close My Eyes forever" were huge hits. Unfortunately her success was short-lived and she was absent from the music industry for a few years. Her re-emergence was with the release of "Black" in 1995 as well as "Wicked Wonderland" which came out almost 15 years following. In 2016, she released her latest studio album "Time Capsule". Guitar Player Magazine gave her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
