Lita Rossana Ford (also called Lita Ford is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist who was born in Britain. She was the lead guitarist in The Runaways, a hard-rock group comprised of girls in late 1970s. The band's punk-rock style and rebellious lyrics got them recognized by the rock world. The group wasn't popular in their home country of the United States, it gained immense popularity in the world. Ford launched a solo heavy-metal career following the split from her band in 1979. After receiving voice lessons, Ford released her debut single album "Out for Blood" and then "Dancin at the Edge". Ford vanished for some years from the music scene following the albums' failure to receive much attention. Her smashing hit, 'Lita was released in 1989.
