Lita Rossana Ford, also called Lita Ford is an American musician, singer and guitarist who was born in Britain. She played lead guitar for The Runaways, a hard-rock band made up of all females in the late 1970s. The band's punk-rock style and rebellious lyrics got them not only the attention of rock fans but also from the community. The band was not able to gain a lot of attention within their home country of the United States but earned huge popular internationally, especially in Japan. Ford was able to enjoy a long and successful career as a heavy-metal solo artist after the group split together in 1979. After taking vocal lessons she launched her debut solo album, called 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin' On The Edge'. Ford went missing from the music scene for some time after the albums did not gain much popularity. The smash hit 'Lita' came out in 1989. Kiss Me Deadly (single) as well as Close My Eyes Forever (ballad) were two of her most popular hits. However, her success was only short lived and for several more years, she disappeared. The album 'Black' was released in 1995, as well as 'Wicked Wonderland just 15 years later, she reemerged. "Time Capsule," her debut album "Time Capsule" was released by her in 2016. Her name was given The Certified Guitar Legend Award from the Guitar Player Magazine.
