Hayley Orrantia (born in the year 1996) is an American performer, actress and songwriter. Many people know her from her character as Erica Goldberg on the popular comedy television series The Goldbergs.' She is primarily an actor. Since she was 9 years of age, she was playing around with music. At the age of 12 years old, music was significant enough that she was able to pursue a career in music. When she was 13, she started creating songs. The first time she recorded an album at 14 years old. Since then, there's never a moment to rest. Orrantia was born in the USA but has Hispanic roots. While she has never lived in or was a Spanish speaker in Mexico However, she is extremely proud of her Hispanic culture. She endeavours to maintain it through learning to speak Spanish and writing songs in the language. A song she has created is called "Hasta Verte," which she composed in Spanish. Orrantia was chosen to be an audition for The X Factor's first season during the summer of the year 2011. Orrantia auditioned, and was picked by a panel of YouTube videos and got the four "yeses," from judges at Seattle in the live audition stage. She originally auditioned solo, but during the "Hollywood Week" she was placed with three other female vocalists into a trio for remaining auditions. They were eventually eliminated at the end of the fifth show.
